I asked what week we were on and Kami quickly responded, Week 38! For a second, my heart stopped and yet no one else in the room thought anything about it (ahem Grandparents!). It is actually week 28, which means its time to test the sugar and iron counts. Of course the doctors office said they would only call if there was a problem with either test and what did they do? They called to tell us the test results were great.
As for the baby, he is living in the rib cage, I think that means he will be an xylophone player. He has had a lot of practice so far using his hands and feet to try and bring out the tones of the rib cage. The temporary home he has chosen has resulted in heart burn and "internal bruising" or so Kami continues to say.
Then there is Brianne. She has been taking naps on Mommy's belly and doesn't seem to care one bit when the baby starts to hit and kick trying to get her off of him. It's quite funny how content she is snuggled up with Mommy and the baby is desperately trying to get her to move.
The next appointment is in 4 weeks ("so Week 42!" said Grandpa) so we will check back with you then.
Love,
Matt, Kami, Brianne, and Baby Wilkin
