Week 32 and 2 Days

Can you believe 4 weeks have gone by already... Well Kami can't!  She says it felt like 8.  Today's visit was fairly uneventful, but the highlights were the reactions of our dear little girl and the fact that the heartburn is now under control with medication.

So let me recount the day for you.  Kami and Brianne got their shoes and coats on and headed out of the apartment.  They then proceeded to get into the van....Okay Okay, I'll get to the points of interest for you and not bore you with all the mundane details.

So at the doctor's office, after the nurse had Kami get on the scale, Brianne just had to get weighed too (had to show off that, "I can do what Mommy can do!" attitude).  Then they proceeded to walk back to the room, and the nurse asked Brianne what was in mommy's belly (talk about a brave question).  Brianne responded like a star with "Baby".    Then once back in the room and the nurse took Kami's blood pressure, and Brianne politely asked "Momma, what they do?", to which Kami had to explain they were taking her blood pressure (try explaining that to a 2 year old!).

If all of that weren't funny enough, when the doctor walked in, she asked Brianne if she was her patient today.  Brianne without any hesitation promptly responded "Noooo, No" whilst shaking her head.  Brianne then got on the table with Mommy and proceeded to show the doctor where the baby was located (because we all know the doctor would have never been able to find him without Brianne's help).

Now enough about Brianne, you are all interested in the baby and Kami.  Well the baby is moving around a lot more (at the most opportune times too for that matter, and by that I mean, every time I try to feel him move, he quits moving!).  He's going to be a handful, that is for certain. Heartbeat was good (again, not sure about Mommy's, she might not have one, just like with Brianne :-P) and sounded healthy.

Now as for Kami, the doctor told her she needs to keep her feet up and relax.  Of course, that isn't working out well.  How do you expect a stay-at-home mom with a 2 year old to accomplish that?  Let alone when that mom has restlessness-syndrome (she can't ever be still, even while sleeping).

And with that we bid you adieu.

Love,
Matt, Kami, Brianne, and Baby Wilkin
