Well today was our 37 week checkup and Kami's blood pressure was sky-rocketing! It was an outrageous 122/68. Yep, you read it right, 122/68. I mean, isn't that just crazy! I just can't get over how high that is (just kidding, we all know 122/68 is great! But Kami insists that it is high for "her"). Kami measured at 37 weeks today. Last week she was measuring at 35 weeks. So next week could be 37, 39, or 38.
At the doctor's office today, Brianne was thrilled to hear the baby's heart beat. After hearing it, she clapped her hands and had a great big smile on her face. Lately she has been carrying her Elmo doll around pretending it is a baby. Placing it in the car carrier, the rocking chair, the crib, etc. She even told us that "the baby sleeps in the crib." When Kami notified me of this, I responded, "That's funny, I thought babies slept on the floor...(guess I've been doing it wrong :-P)"
Over the course of the pregnancy Kami has gained 24 of the alloted 25 pounds you are allowed to gain (pretty good, if you ask me). However, with the strange warm weather we have been having over the past week, her energy level has gone down, and her legs and feet are constantly swollen (likely because Brianne wants to be outside all of the time; making it hard for Kami to sit and relax).
