We were able to come home a little before 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 18th. So we have been home for a few days now (time just passes through when you have two to look after instead of just one). Brianne loves having her brother and her mommy home.
On the way home, we made a few stops to pick up odds and ends and Keaten started to get fussy. When Keaten gets fussy, normally you can count on the big sister to ask "What's Wrong?" But there was dead silence. So we asked Brianne to talk to her brother, only to turn around and see that she is zonked out in her car seat.
Once home, we put up our feet and relaxed until dinner arrived (Thanks to the awesome Mom's Connection group Kami got involved with) allowing Keaten to get used to his new surroundings and allowing Brianne to show how much she wanted Mommy and baby to be home.
So, with a few days past, I can say with absolutely certainty that Brianne does truly love her brother. She wants to hold him, kiss him, hug him, and probably toss him (seeing how she is in a throwing things mode lately -- we'll have to try and prevent the tossing, yet encourage black ink the holding, kissing, and hugging).
Keaten is a mommy's boy through and through. He love his mommy. He prefers to sleep on mommy versus his crib (that is slowly but surely changing), and don't even attempt it Daddy. You are just too uncomfortable for sleeping (unless it is your lap).
Apart from having a bladder the size of a tennis ball and he choosing to fill it up before letting any of it out (seems he goes through 2 outfits a day, along with a blanket and the crib sheets), everything has been wonderful.
As always, feel free to stop by, just call ahead so we can be ready for your arrival. I've been home all of this week and will be home Monday (and maybe Tuesday). My parents are arriving on Monday morning (we got to Skype with them at the hospital earlier in the week along with Auntie Amber).
