One on One Time

So last time we informed you that Keaten was showing interest in potty training... unfortunately, that didn't stick. We are back to diapers for the time being but will hopefully be off them by the end of the year? Who knows, maybe we will or maybe we won't. All I know is our little boy, isn't quite ready yet.

However, what our son is ready for, is America's Funniest Videos! The other night Mommy and Daddy were getting things around in the kitchen when our little boy came strutting in with a necklace around his neck, high heels on his feet, and eventually gloves on his hands and a crown on his head. Yes, you read that all correctly. We've got photos and videos that will last us through his graduation and eventually his wedding! :)

The one thing this little guy has going for him, is affection. He absolutely loves his cousins and his Nana and Papa. It is quite often we hear "Baby?" or "Nana?" throughout our home as he seeks for pictures or an opportunity to Skype with them. I can only hope that this trait is kept as he continues to grow older.

Of course, with Brianne at school, our little boy now gets one on one time with Mommy every afternoon. I'm sure he absolutely loves these times although when they drop off Brianne, he insistently asked Mommy if he can go to his class too (I'm not sure Mommy is ready for that yet).

Throughout this past month Mommy has found a new breakfast staple that our son devours. Individual size monkey bread. It is biscuits cut into quarters, covered in butter, cinnamon and sugar. Bake it in the oven and you'll have some yummy goodness in 10-15 minutes.

Much like Brianne, our little boy is disappointed that Summer is over too. He enjoyed the pool immensely and more importantly, he loves to help his Daddy mow the lawn. Any time Daddy goes out to mow, he is right behind me and if I should forget to keep the door open so he can follow, you'll soon hear him screaming. This little guy loves to help take care of the yard, or park his mower in less than ideal spots...

Well, I can't wait to see where we are in another month with this little guy and all of the adventures/excursions he has during his one-on-one time with Mommy. Until then, enjoy these photos!

Love,
Matt, Kami, Brianne and Keaten
